Pleasant site with nice pond (take care if you have young children). Electricity has to be paid for with tokens you buy from manager. Toilets and washing up space a bonus. Mostly rather rough hard standing. Two pubs within walking distance. Not far from Fowlmere RSPB site and Shepreth Wildlife park. Garden Centre with cafe within walking distance.
Upside: small, quiet site; large, beautiful fishpond, riverside, and woodland location, close to Duxford. Downside: A10 close by, but not too bad at night, to be fair; other previous campers using the bin store for some pretty obnoxious leavings (hubby sorted it out today, so hopefully following campers will be more respectful of their SHARED environment!). Definitely value for money. We're off to Fowlmere RSPB reserve tomorrow (only a short walk away) to see if the bird life can match, or surpass the range of vintage aircraft we saw over us today from out tent.
