We had a mini work do there and the atmosphere was really nice. Bar staff were serving us at the table which was nice and convenient. The snack foods were also tasty.
Family friendly pub/restaurant with a unique and innovative post office theme.Food and service were excellent and offered good value for money. Food was freshly prepared in the open kitchen.I'm reluctant to use the word gastropub because that (to me) implies a degree of pretentiousness that doesn't apply here. The standard of the food though is definitely of restaurant, rather than pub standard.
Popped on Sunday for one of their roast dinners (I had a regular beef) . We had to book a table & I'd advise not getting there too late as once the roast dinners have gone, there gone. They have small and regular sizes which is great if your not super hungry but still fancy a roast dinner. Will definitely be going back & May even try the triple roast (beef, pork & chicken)
Had our family Christmas day meal here and it was fantastic. Food was top notch and service brilliant. Interior is great fun.
The Postie is a great all rounder - good range of drinks and tasty, reasonably priced food which is better than usual pub fare. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Suitable venue for date night, family meal or a midweek pint. I particularly enjoy the themed decor and the seasonal events.
