Love this place, its the local pub of a couple of my friends so we come here every now and again for lunch.The Sunday roasts are amazing and the normal dinner menu is great too. Good portion sizes and decent price for the area.Very cozy pub with friendly staff! Tip: Get the sticky toffee pudding for desert.... its delicious!

Great pub with open fires and delicious food. Staff/owner is really nice and friendly too. I would highly recommend the fish n chips - big portions and beautifully cooked - as well as the steak and ale pie - that pie has succulent pieces of steak set in a rich ale sauce. Easily top 3 pies Ive ever had. I personally would like to see a few more modern drinks available like punk IPA or something from beavertown brewery on tap rather than the same old generic lagers but other than that this place is lovely
The ambiance of the pub is quite nice. However, it is a shame that the staff are generally quite rude and unaccommodating. We came in and tried to order food and were told to wait. We ordered drinks and after waiting 1.5 hours we got told that actually they will not be able to serve us. Had we been told this right at the start, we would have picked another place. There are pubs in the area that treat customers much better.
